Accounting Manager

GENERAL JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and timely month-end and year-end closings.
  • Responsible for managing accounting staff, developing internal controls, preparing financial statements, and supporting budgeting and audit activities

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Minimum of 5 years accounting experience including managerial role

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with accounting standards and organizational requirements.
  • Review and validate financial data for consistency and accuracy before submission to management or external parties.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales, and other units to gather necessary financial data and ensure alignment across functions.
  • Provide reports comparing actual results with budgets and forecasts; identify causes of variances.
  • Present financial findings, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
  • Review and reconcile key general ledger accounts, including cash, receivables, payables, and intercompany transactions.
  • Oversee and coordinate all month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure all closing documentation and schedules are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
  • Work closely with department heads and finance teams to consolidate and prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Review submitted budget data for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to budgeting guidelines.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for auditors, facilitating audit schedules, meetings, and information requests.
