Business Development Officer

Job Summary

The Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying business opportunities and building strategic partnerships to support sustainable revenue growth. This role requires understanding customer needs and challenges, as well as developing and implementing effective sales strategies aligned with the company’s goals. The position also supports business expansion, client relationship management, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead qualification to pitching, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Build, expand, and maintain a strong network of clients, partners, and industry contacts to generate new business opportunities.
  • Present, promote, and position the company’s products and services to prospective clients to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Deliver exceptional client service by responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and concerns.
  • Develop tailored proposals and solutions based on client requirements and business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, performance against targets, and market trends.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support business growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in B2B Sales, Business Development, or Account Management
  • Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Experience in B2B sales within a software development or SaaS company is a strong advantage
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships and identify growth opportunities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Familiarity with the technology and IT services industry is a plus
