Day Porter

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and proactive Day Porter to join our team. This is a key guest-facing role, supporting reception and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all guests from arrival to departure.

You will play an important part in the day-to-day running of the hotel, assisting across departments and helping to ensure everything is set up and presented to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests on arrival and assist with check-in support
• Assist guests with luggage to and from rooms
• Support guests during check-out, ensuring a smooth departure experience
• Provide a warm, helpful presence in the lobby and entrance area
• Assist reception with general duties and guest queries
• Assist with event and function room set-ups and resets
• Help with room preparation for guest arrivals
• Carry out general cleaning and upkeep of public areas
• Maintain the outside welcome area, ensuring it is clean, tidy and presentable at all times
• Respond promptly to guest requests and deliver excellent customer service
• Monitor the entrance area, maintaining awareness of who is entering and leaving the hotel
• Act as a support for hotel security during daytime hours
• Assist with managing coach arrivals and parking
• Support the team with other general duties as required
