About Us

Redwooddot Limited is seeking experienced and motivated Duty Managers to join our hospitality team in Canterbury. We are looking for reliable professionals who are passionate about customer service, team leadership, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
• Lead, motivate and support front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Open and close the premises, including cash handling and end-of-day reconciliations.
• Resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand food safety, health and safety, and liquor licensing requirements.
• Monitor cleanliness, presentation and hygiene standards throughout the restaurant.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food service.
• Assist with staff training and performance monitoring.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements when required.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol in accordance with New Zealand legislation.
• Maintain a safe, positive and productive working environment.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate must have:

• At least 1 year of experience as a Duty Manager in a hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with cash handling, POS systems and shift supervision.
• Knowledge of New Zealand food safety, health and safety, and liquor licensing requirements.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
