Finance & Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Primarily responsible to undertake all aspects of financial management including corporate accounting, cash management, regulatory and financial reporting and is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls, policies and budgets designed to mitigate risks, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with international financial reporting standards. Providing a higher level of management, may be tasked to oversee several different areas such as corporate planning, management information systems, and other areas as required by the Business Unit Manager.

Job Specifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Management Accounting
• A Certified Public Accountant (updated with the required Continuing Professional Development)
• At least 5 years of overall combined finance and management experience working with middle management and top level executives, with thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and financial reporting, proven ability to perform a variety of functions and strong understanding of all functions of a typical finance and admin department and familiarity on widely used accounting systems
• Mature, experienced, knowledgeable and have a great sense of responsibility
• With strong leadership and management skills
• Able to confidently and positively build rapport with colleagues
• With integrity, confidence, strong analytical and financial skills With effective written and oral communication skills along with excellent presentation skills
• With skills in problem solving, is vigilant, has a passion for details and an ability to explain them
• With ability to motivate, develop and manage the team towards effective and efficient performance
• With an entrepreneurial, creative and methodical mindset and approach to solve major issues
