Finance And Admin Officer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance & Administration Officer to join our Finance Department as an additional team member supporting our expanding operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations and administrative functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective support for day-to-day business activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining sound financial management practices, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting the continued growth of the organization within a dynamic and fast-paced IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting activities and financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely recording of all financial data.
  • Prepare, review, and submit tax filings and statutory reports, including VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, Alphalist, and other BIR requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other applicable government regulations and reporting obligations.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end schedules, and supporting financial documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, cash flow reports, and budget monitoring reports.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely collection and payment processes.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, contracts, permits, and administrative documentation.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, government agencies, banks, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Support administrative functions and company operations to ensure smooth business continuity.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Accounting Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, auditing, or finance operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Philippine taxation, accounting standards, and BIR regulations.
  • Proven experience in preparing and filing tax returns, government reports, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/financial management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an IT, technology, startup, or professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with government project bidding, procurement processes, and compliance documentation.
  • Exposure to financial planning, budgeting, and audit coordination is an advantage.
