General Accountant

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations for all business units.
• Consolidate financial data for both Manila Ocean Park and Hotel H2O, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, highlighting variances and providing actionable recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), tax regulations, and company policies.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, adjustments, and financial statement preparation.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and intercompany transactions.
• Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, and government agencies for audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and file tax returns (e.g., VAT, withholding taxes, income tax) accurately and within deadlines.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including asset tagging, depreciation, and disposal.
• Review and validate supporting documents such as invoices, purchase orders, and disbursement vouchers for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities for both operations.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure proper fund management to support operational requirements.
• Support cost control initiatives by analyzing expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for all accounting records and reports.
• Collaborate with other departments (Operations, HR, Procurement) to ensure proper financial controls and reporting alignment.
