Day to Day

As with all of our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) positions, you’ll be driving excellence at Indeed around the SRE fundamentals of availability, performance (latency and scalability), and efficiency (cost, resource, and human processes). In this specific role you’ll be managing a team of SRE ICs homed in Europe, US, and India. Your team’s scope will include:

Business Automation-responsible for software used by our Sales, Customer Support, HR, and financial roles.
IT Solutions-responsible for all of our corporate software systems.
SRE Acceleration-building tools that make Indeed better with respect to those SRE fundamentals.

You’ll be part of our global SRE team, applying software engineering techniques and discipline to production operations to attack major problems and fix them for good. SRE adds nines to our already well engineered and highly reliable software products supporting job seekers, employers, and internal users. Every month, over 250 million people count on us to help them find jobs, publish their resumes, process their job applications, and ultimately help them get hired.

Responsibilities

Own availability and performance of Indeed’s most critical products
Design, develop, write, ship, and motivate the creation of software and systems to increase reliability and organizational efficiency
Help engineers develop their careers through personal and performance management
Foster an environment of continuous learning which builds excellent engineering skillsets
Work with your internal customer base to maximize the value that your team delivers to Indeed’s engineering organization.

Skills/Competencies

BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience writing code in Java, Go, Python, or a similar language.
Experience managing a team of software and/or system engineers.
Proficiency with cloud platforms and tools, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience recruiting and hiring engineering talent.
Exceptional knowledge of databases, both SQL and NoSQL, and experience with service-oriented and event-driven system architectures
Experience designing, writing, and/or troubleshooting software and systems in a distributed, internet-scale Linux environment.

Salary Range Transparency

Dublin Metro Area 100,000 - 146,000 EUR per year

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
