The occupant of this position will deliver training on systems and procedures, relating to Bureau data gathering equipment, using educational best practice to meet organisational needs. The duties will include development of new course material as well as the updating of current training content. The material will be developed and delivered in a variety of ways; through our learning management system (Moodle) or the creation of web tools, videos and documentation.
The position will be based in Melbourne, however the occupant may occasionally be required to travel interstate to participate in regionally based training activities. The applicant will also be required to learn skills around observing the atmosphere and the science of taking meteorological measurements, also will be expected to contribute to training of staff in the use of current Bureau software-based management systems such as SAP, EAMS and EDMS, and make effective use of these systems in his or her other training.

A measured but flexible approach to training and education is preferred, as the duties include much interaction with varied groups of adult learners. It is expected that the successful applicant will have demonstrated an aptitude or interest in furthering their academic studies and personal development opportunities.
