JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Yardperson

Reports to: Operations Manager; Mirabito Truck Repair

Status: Full-time, Hourly Non-Exempt

Hourly Pay: $17.00 - $19.00

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- include and are not limited to:

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Drives a truck to deliver materials to job sites or other branches in need of equipment or other materials.
• Staging installations, ordering parts, tracking & inventory of parts, processing returns & warranties.
• Safety & Compliance inspections, documentation, communicating, and rectifying deficiencies of the warehouse, office, grounds, and bulk fuel plants.
• Daily Readings of Bulk fuel storage
• Cleans outside and inside worksites after work is completed; removes all equipment and debris.
• Operates mechanical sweepers and snow blowers in the cleaning of yards and related areas.
• Maintain safety and compliance records 100% of the time.
• Must be able to successfully complete a pre-functional evaluation.
• Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.
• Be capable of maneuvering equipment and materials in excess of 300 pounds with the use of proper mechanical devices and/or additional manpower.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures 100% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES- include and are not limited to:

• Checks incoming materials, equipment, and supplies against packing slips; assigns materials to the proper yard location; issues materials to installation crews; records all materials leaving the yard.
• Transporting vehicles to shops or other Mirabito Facilities as needed.
• Keeps designated areas in orderly condition.
• Performs minor repairs on equipment when needed.
• Monitors the parking of private cars in restricted Departmental parking lots and issues notices regarding unauthorized parking.
• Check yard buildings' heating, ventilation, electrical, lighting, and air conditioning systems for proper functioning; reports any irregularities to Regional Manager.
• Keep yard premises locked and secured as required.
• Keep routine work records and inventories.
• Maintain confidentiality 100% of the time in regards to customer and company information.
• Reports to work with minimal absenteeism or tardiness.
• Attend job-related training and informational seminars as requested.
• Performs other job-related activities and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS- include and are not limited to:

• Possess a high school/vocational school diploma or G.E.D. and related certification.
