We are seeking a Document Controller / Project Support Officer to join our team in Brisbane. The role of the Project Support Officer covers a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the project’s objectives. The Project Support Officer enables the smooth running of the project by supporting the project manager through the operation of project management processes, and the co-ordination of business management actions and activities on their behalf. The Project Support Officer is responsible for helping to achieve the business outcomes that are important to Glencore Technology.
We are seeking someone with:
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the Engineering and/or EPCM industries in a Document Control role.
Strong understanding of document management processes, including drawing control, document revision control, markup management and versioning practices.
Receive, upload and download documents to client portals and document management systems.
Ensure document traceability and compliance with procedures and client requirements.
Aware of project management practices and in particular, the general project lifecycle.
Project Support experience (data analysis, data entry, scanning, general administrative support, document handling, distribution and archiving).
Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to assist the project team within the Project Support Officer’s scope of work.
Ability to liaise with internal teams, contractors and clients to resolve document or administrative issues.
Strong customer focus and excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask between different projects and work requests.
Able to work in a busy/fast-paced environment, with competing priorities.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and learning new processes quickly.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Word, Excel & Adobe.
Experience with M-Files, Microsoft Project, Project Online, Altus, Aconex, SharePoint, Coreworx or other document management platforms will be highly regarded; however, it is not essential.
