Reporting into an Engineering Manager, the mission of this role is to lead and develop a team of technical engineers to support and improve manufacturing processes for regulated medical device production. This role ensures process validation, regulatory compliance and production efficiency. The manager drives continuous improvement initiatives, supports new product development (NPD), and partners cross-functionally to ensure that production outputs are met.
As a key leader you will be part of a highly innovative multidisciplinary Engineering team (Mechanical, Electronics, Biochemistry, Software, Artificial Intelligence, Optics) managing a team of engineers working on complex problems to serve the needs of laboratories of any size – today and tomorrow.

- Lead and develop a team of multidisciplined engineers in a medical device manufacturing environment.
- Manage product and process change activities, technology transfers while assuring continuity of supply.
- Proven experience in the design and development of high-quality, cost effective, automated system solutions
- Work cross functionally & cross site to deliver finished product to the end customer.
- Lead projects to drive continuous improvement in key metrics in alignment with Lean, 6 Sigma, Design Robustness and Problem-Solving Principles
- Problem solve to solution level, with a structured approach, using the team, complete all associated planning and design validation activity required to achieve the desired outcome.
- Deliver solutions to enhance product reliability and process capability.
- Participate in the continuous development of the quality system, including standard operating procedures (SOP's), workflow development, product and process validations coupled with the ability to write concise technical reports.

Requirements to succeed in this role:
- NFQ Level 8 or Higher in relevant technical discipline (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronics, Engineering, or alternative) with 10 years relevant engineering experience. Degree in alternative disciplines will be considered if balanced by relevant engineering experience.
- 5 years’ experience or more in a relevant leadership position.
- Very strong technical background (Mechanical / Electromechanical / Manufacturing)
- Structured analysis skills with experience in complex technical troubleshooting
- Excellent collaboration & communications skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Practical experience of supplier & manufacturing fabrication and assembly processes.
