Outside Sales Representative- Plumbing Supply House

Job Summary:
As an Outside Sales Rep within our organization you will play a vital role in driving the growth and success of our business. You will be responsible for developing relationships with current and future customers to ensure that they have access to the products and services they need to complete their projects effectively. Your primary objective will be to maximize sales revenue, develop strong customer relationships, and expand our market presence. You will be instrumental in achieving sales targets, promoting customer satisfaction, and driving our company's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing accounts to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Implement strategic plans to enter new markets and expand our customer base.
- Identify potential new customers and market segments to expand our customer base.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns to attract new customers.
- Represent the company at trade shows and other industry events.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, products, and technologies to offer expert guidance to customers and staff.
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to forecast trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for management, highlighting key performance indicators.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers to ensure mutually beneficial arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and government contract procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in sales, with experience in plumbing supplies, HVAC, construction, industrial supply or related industries being advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to foster positive customer relationships.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction.
- Familiarity with government contract procedures and regulations is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
- Ability to analyze sales data, interpret trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to manage time effectively and reassess changing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
