Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bagels, pastries, and muffins, following established recipes and quality standards
• Decorate desserts with artistic flair, incorporating themes and customer specifications
• Package baked items efficiently and attractively for sale or catering purposes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in accordance with food safety regulations
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring ingredients, and assembling products
• Handle food safely by following proper hygiene practices and handling procedures
• Support the team during catering events or special orders by ensuring timely production and delivery of baked goods

Qualifications

• Previous experience in baking, pastry arts, or food production is required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Strong cake decorating skills and familiarity with various icing techniques are a plus
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, and other baking tools safely
• Excellent customer service skills to assist with customer inquiries or special requests when needed
• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment or restaurant setting is advantageous
• Basic understanding of packaging techniques to ensure product freshness and presentation
