Part Time Baker

Job Overview
Join our vibrant bakery team as a Part Time Baker and bring delicious, freshly baked goods to life! In this baking role, you will be contributing to helping our serve our community freshly baked scones, muffins, and cakes.

Duties

• Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies with precision and creativity
• If a candidate has cake decorating experience - this position *could* involve cake decorating for the right candidate
• Package baked items efficiently while maintaining quality standards and food safety protocols
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring ingredients, and assembling products for baking
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to strict food handling and safety regulations
• Support food production processes by following recipes accurately and managing multiple orders simultaneously
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of fresh baked goods during busy periods
• One of the biggest skills we are looking for is the ability to learn quickly, work effiecently, and to keep up with the pace of the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in baking, pastry arts, or food production is highly desirable
• Strong cake decorating skills with an eye for detail and presentation is highly desirable - but not a requirement
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Proficiency in kitchen tools such as knives, mixers, and baking equipment
• Excellent customer service skills to engage with clients when needed
• Must have a license and a reliable vehicle - all staff may need to run deliveries occasionally

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
