Gold Coast Ingredients, Inc. is a manufacturer of food flavors and colors. We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor at our Commerce, CA manufacturing facility to be responsible for the bullet points below but not limited to:

Responsibilities

• · Ability to spot defects, inconsistencies, or deviations in food products or processes.

· Understanding of critical food safety principles and best practices, including food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and contamination prevention.

· Familiarity with laboratory testing, food analysis and quality control testing equipment.

· Ability to identify quality control issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions to maintain product standards.

· Strong skills in analyzing data, identifying trends, and generating reports to monitor quality performance.

· Clear communication with team members, other departments, and regulatory bodies is essential. This includes both written and verbal communication.

· Ability to lead and motivate a team, manage workflows, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

· In-depth knowledge of industry standards such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards (HACCP) and food quality certifications

· Understanding and managing food product specifications to ensure compliance with quality benchmarks.

· Conducting internal audits, product inspections and preparing for external audits by regulatory agencies.

Bachelor’s degree | Food Science; Food Technology; Microbiology; Chemistry; Biology; Agricultural Science

3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing or food safety.

Experience in a supervisory or team leader is preferred

Knowledge of food industry regulations and standards, such as those set by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), USDA (United States Department of Agriculture)

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
