Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing global team within the Ximplifi/KeepingCount group of companies.
This is a remote, full-time employee position (not a contractor role), based in the Philippines, with an initial requirement to align your schedule with your manager's time zone.
As a Staff Accountant, you’ll support a variety of clients across multiple industries—including real estate, short-term rentals, e-commerce, life sciences, professional services, and more—through high-quality bookkeeping and accounting services.

What You’ll Do
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Perform daily and monthly bookkeeping tasks (AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals)
Assist with month-end close processes
Prepare accurate financial reports and supporting schedules
Support cleanup work and help bring messy books into organized condition
Client Support & Communication
Collaborate with clients to obtain needed documents and clarify financial information
Communicate financial results clearly and professionally
Maintain strong client relationships built on reliability and clear communication
Process, Quality & Teamwork
Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Work closely with Senior Accountants and Managers to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables
Assist in onboarding new clients and organizing financial documentation
Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes
Technology & Tools
Utilize modern accounting software including:
QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Gusto, Bill.com, Karbon, Divvy, BigTime, HubDoc, ChargeOver, and others
Maintain strong email and task management via Microsoft Outlook and Karbon
Adapt quickly to new tools, systems, and workflows in a fully remote environment
What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (Associate’s degree with experience accepted)
1–3 years of hands-on bookkeeping and accounting experience
Experience supporting month-end close
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Excel and modern accounting systems
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
A proactive, organized, and team-oriented mindset
Work Schedule
First 90 days:
Work hours must align with your manager’s time zone
Will include working some hours during the 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM PHT night shift
Post-90 days:
Based on performance
Flexible schedule with a required 4-hour overlap with your manager’s time zone
