Finance Administrator
Department: Finance
Term: Temporary Fixed-Term, until October 2026
Location: Remote in Canada

Salary: The salary for this role is $50,606.00 per year.

Role Overview:
This role supports the financial administrative activities of Scouts Canada through handling the day-to-day accounting processes including deposits, data entry, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable & event management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Reconciling, balancing, and processing of various deposits & Accounts Receivable
· Reconciling and balancing invoices, cash receipts and reports for various SC Events
· Receives and completes necessary payables entries for employee and volunteer expenses
· Preparing invoices and reports as necessary for Accounts Receivable
· Following up for prompt payment and problem resolution on outstanding invoices
· Documents and supports Scouts Canada’s Pre-Authorized payments
· Accounts payable invoice approval management and data input to SAGE
· Analyzing and reconciling GL accounts in working with a Finance Coordinate & Associate
· Researching and resolving Help Centre tickets and finance inquiries as assigned
· Maintaining databases and files
· Serve as backup for other administrator tasks
· Various administration duties as required..
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Job-Specific Competencies:
· Formal accounting training, preferably at post-secondary level or equivalent experience
· Two to three years of experience working in supporting financial administration
· Experience with Sage Intacct is required.
· Good understanding of basic accounting concepts
· Demonstrated fluency with major accounting software; Strong analytical skills
· Advanced Excel skills
· Strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated flexible approach
· Ability to work to deadlines while managing multiple activities
· Self-motivated
· Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
· Ability to respond to requests in a timely basis
· Resulted oriented and problem-solving skills
· Works under direction where objectives are established and employee plans and arranges own work, bringing forward areas of concern
Working Conditions:
- Clear PRC (Police Record Check) and VSS (Vulnerable Sector Check) are required before the start date.
- Mandatory training requirement
· Works remotely at home-based office.
· Works 35 hours per week with overtime during peak demand periods
Physical Demands:
Sitting at a computer for extended periods of time
